Purpose: The purpose of my experiment is to see if what is in a liquid effects how fast it melts.

Hypothesis: If I melt the water ice cube then it will melt the fastest because it does not contain as much ingredients as the other liquids.

Independent Variable: The liquids that I'm melting.

Dependent Variable: The speed at which the liquids melt.

Constants: The place the ice cubes were melted, the surface they were melted on, and the volume of each ice cube.

Number of trials: 3

Control: Water.

Procedure: 1. freeze the ice cubes. 2. Melt and time speed of melting. 3. Repeat two more times and record data.

Materials: Water, raspberry lemonade, milk, diet pepsi, ice cube mold.
